Slo 'Mo Party is headed to Pitchfork! We're pumped to present our first after party for Chicago's favorite music festival at the much-awaited Ace Hotel located just blocks from the festival grounds. It's with pride and pleasure that we present one of Pitchfork's performers Madame Gandhi following the festival on Friday, featuring a live, full-band performance by Madame Gandhi as well as DJ sets by her in-house DJ Smiles Davis and Slo 'Mo's own Audio Jack. Get down with the femmergy and experience the brand new, sleek and sexy Ace before the public has the chance, and an exclusive experience with Madame Gandhi who will only appear at the festival and our intimate event at the Ace.
Kiran Gandhi, known by her stage name Madame Gandhi, is an electronic music artist and activist based in Los Angeles. Having gained recognition as the former drummer for M.I.A. and as the iconic free-bleeding runner at the 2015 London Marathon, Madame Gandhi now writes music that elevates and celebrates the female voice.
The Ace is accessible by elevator and we will, as always, feature gender neutral restrooms. Due to the attention and energy surrounding the Ace opening as well as the festival itself, we anticipate these tickets will sell out very quickly, so we're giving Slo 'Mo fam a first chance at snagging them. Tickets (sold out) for YOU will be available Monday, July 3 at 12PM and will go on sale to the public July 5 at 9am. We prioritize space for our queer fam, but you have to get on it!
