Slo 'Mo is Chicago's party for lovers produced by co-founder Kristen Kaza featuring a rotation of LGBTQ+ and allied DJs spinning R&B, soul, hip hop and house from the seventies to today.
Founded in 2012 with a mission to cultivate joy and connect community on the dance floor, Slo 'Mo is a party that welcomes people of all identities, bodies and expressions through the celebration of music and LGBTQ+ community. No homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism or other hateful or harmful behavior belongs here!

Parties take place throughout Chicago including its monthly residency party “Slo ‘Mo: Slow Jams for Quer Fam” third Thursday of each month with resident DJs Audio Jack & VITI GRRL at the Whistler in Logan Square and "Old Gold: Grown Music For Grown People” First Sundays in summertime with DJ Tess & friends spinning all vinyl records at the Ace Hotel rooftop Waydown. Slo 'Mo has also played the Promontory, Schubas, Thalia Hall, the Empty Bottle, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and several other venues, as well as various festivals, events and parties in Chicago.
