Welcome to Sensual Spring! Let your queerness bloom at our April edition of Slo ‘Mo with VITIGRRL and special guest DJ Dreea on the decks. A Chicago DJ of 15 years and graduate of Scratch Academy, we are excited to welcome Dreea back to the Slo ‘Mo stage for a soulful Saturday night. Miss Angelica Grace and Empress Darling Shear will be dazzling us again as our resident dancers and Your Godmutha and Party Mom will be ready to welcome you.

This month we are called to support our comrades at the South Side house music venue The Post Chicago to help raise money to reopen this vital institution. Five percent of Slo ‘Mo’s ticket profits will be given to their GoFundMe, which is raising money for renovations & any additional licensing the city is requiring of the Post to keep the establishment running. From legacy DJs like Theo Parrish and Ron Trent to newcomers like Erica Kane and CtrlZora, we are so grateful for the work Sheldon and everyone is doing at The Post. Hit the link above if you want to learn more or make a contribution.

Sleeping Village is an ADA compliant, wheelchair accessible venue. Masks are strongly supported and available at check in, as well as sanitizer. The large outdoor patio allows for taking breaks and space while enjoying the music played in the venue. Limited booths in the bar are reserved for people with mobility needs, people with chronic illness and pregnant people or folks who were recently pregnant. Please email slomoparty@gmail.com to reserve, or if you have any questions or needs. You can see the Sleeping Village FAQ for an expanded description of their policies.

Please take care to note you’re choosing to enter a space with alcohol, dark spaces, tight  dance floors, flashing lights & fog, photography documentation and other elements that may impact your experience. We cannot promise safety but do as much as we can within our power in a space we don’t own or make policy for to help you feel comfortable and thought of. We are continually adapting how we enact care and welcome feedback that is collaboratively solutions  focused.
